Welcome to the Centerra Mirage Elementary School Library web site. My name is Tanya Molina and I am the librarian. There are a lot of interesting items on this page. Browse to your heart's content -- but don't forget to READ!!
It's Love of Reading Week (February 4th-12th) and we have a reading challenge for our students. Let's see if the grade levels can reach this goal:
- Kindergarten -- 60 hours
- 1st Grade -- 75 hours
- 2nd Grade -- 200 hours
- 3rd Grade -- 175 hours
- 4th Grade -- 190 hours
- 5th Grade -- 250 hours
- 6th Grade -- 300 hours
- 7th Grade -- 300 hours
- 8th Grade -- 300 hours
Mr. Tanks has issued another, personal, challenge. If all the students can read 75% of their goal (1,387 1/2 hours) by Thursday afternoon, then he will dress up as a cowboy and kiss a chicken on Friday.
Let's all read -- I want to see Mr. Tanks kiss a chicken!!!
